Terms & Conditions – SG Classic Cars (SG Classics)

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of www.sgclassics.co.za (“the Website”), as well as any enquiries, quotations, restoration work, and related services offered by SG Classics (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, or by engaging SG Classics for vehicle-related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Website immediately.
2. Services Provided
SG Classics specialises in:
Classic vehicle restoration
Mechanical repairs and servicing
Electrical and wiring repairs
Bodywork, panel beating, and paintwork
Component rebuilds and replacements
Full and partial vehicle restoration
All services are subject to availability, assessment, and approval after inspection of the vehicle.
3. Quotations & Estimates
3.1 Non-Binding Estimates
All quotations provided by SG Classics—whether via email, the Website, or in person—are based on the information available at the time.
Due to the nature of classic vehicles, hidden issues or additional work may arise during disassembly or inspection.
3.2 Changes to Quotations
We reserve the right to adjust costs if:
Additional repairs are required
Parts availability changes
Special-order components increase in price
Labour hours exceed initial estimates
Any changes will be communicated to you before continuing with the work.
4. Parts, Materials & Components
SG Classics may use a combination of:
OEM parts
Aftermarket parts
Custom-made or fabricated components
Refurbished or reconditioned items
Where original parts are unavailable or discontinued, suitable alternatives will be recommended.
Parts remain the property of SG Classics until full payment is received.
5. Deposits & Payment Terms
5.1 Deposits
A deposit may be required before work begins. This will be stated clearly on the quotation or invoice.
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept:
EFT
Bank transfer
Other approved payment methods (as communicated)
5.3 Outstanding Balances
The vehicle will not be released until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.
SG Classics reserves the right to charge storage fees for vehicles not collected within the agreed timeframe.
6. Turnaround Times
All timelines for restoration or repair work are estimates and may vary due to:
Parts availability
Required fabrication
Hidden damage discovered during the process
Specialist subcontractor schedules
Seasonal workloads
SG Classics will communicate delays wherever reasonably possible but does not guarantee fixed completion dates.
7. Warranty & Workmanship
We take great pride in the quality of our craftsmanship. However, due to the unique condition of each classic vehicle:
No guarantees are provided on pre-existing components
No guarantee applies to parts supplied by the client
Workmanship warranties are limited and will be stated in writing where applicable
Electrical systems, engine components, and bodywork may be affected by age-related wear or prior repairs and may not qualify for extended guarantees.
8. Vehicle Storage & Liability
Vehicles stored at our premises are kept as safely and securely as possible.
However, SG Classics is not liable for:
Theft, fire, weather damage, or natural disasters
Pre-existing faults or failures
Breakdown of unrelated systems during or after the restoration process
Clients are encouraged to maintain their own insurance while the vehicle is in our care.
9. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate vehicle information
Disclose known issues, previous repairs, or modifications
Deliver and collect the vehicle as agreed
Review and approve quotations or changes promptly
Maintain insurance for your vehicle
Failure to respond to communication or approve additional work may cause delays.
10. Use of the Website
You may not use www.sgclassics.co.za to:
Upload harmful, illegal, or misleading content
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or servers
Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission
Interfere with Website functionality or security
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if misuse occurs.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website—including logos, images, text, designs, and project examples—belongs to SG Classics and may not be reproduced or used without written consent.

13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under South African law, SG Classics is not liable for:

Payments are withheld
